Before we get into this tutorial, I briefly cover how I’m using Edison. For more info, you can watch Saving Sounds you’ve Sound Designed Using Edison.
The Hidden Secret for Unique Flavor in Drum Loops
By creating a drum loop, recording it as an audio file, then loading it up into a plugin such as Slicex, you create that sampled sound without stepping on anyone’s toes in terms of copyright issues.
This also creates a super unique sound because the audio is being overlapped. This means that the clap actually has audio overlapped from the previous sound, creating a unique hit to use in your loops.
Try it out and let me know how it works for you!
